Organisation
Founded in 1960, The Dawood Foundation (TDF) began as Ahmed Dawood's decade-in-the-making dream to advance education in Science, Technology, and Research. After establishing several educational institutions across Pakistan, TDF has since evolved to create inclusive, informal learning spaces for everyone.
TDF MagnifiScience Centre
TDF MagnifiScience Centre shows how exciting science can be. As the country's first interactive science centre, we bring science to life through hands-on exhibits, play, and discovery. Here, visitors of all ages explore, question, and experiment freely, building the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that shape tomorrow. A space where curiosity is welcome, and everyone belongs.

Partnerships and Collaborations
Supporting the country’s first science centre will open doors for mission-driven organizations in various ways which align with their business purpose and corporate social responsibility (CSR) objectives.

Our Projects
To nurture the entrepreneurial spirit within the young minds, TDF MSC embarked on a groundbreaking journey by introducing the inaugural Children’s Market in Feb 2023

MSC Community Engagement
The Dawood Foundation (TDF) strives to empower communities through its projects.
Mission and Vision
Mission
To establish a contemporary and interactive science centre that provides the public with an opportunity to engage with science, irrespective of gender, age, socio-economic, cultural, religious, or demographic barriers.
To develop interest in scientific thinking, scientific literacy, scientific knowledge, and scientific methodology by interacting and engaging with the exhibits and programmes at the centre.
Science popularization will be pursued through the centre, or in the form of travelling exhibitions, school outreach programmes, and event management interventions.
Vision
Science is for everyone!
Historical Significance
TDF MagnifiScience Centre sits on Talpur Road (formerly Woods Street) in the historic Railway Quarter, on a site that once served as a colonial-era warehouse. Today, only the original stone boundary walls remain, and both the wall and entrance frontage have been carefully restored to honour the area's architectural heritage. The result is a building where past and present, historical and modern, meet in one design.
We are TDF MagnifiScience Centre
Under the leadership of Ms. Nasreen Hassan, the centre is powered by a diverse team of curators, educators, visitor guides, programme makers, technical specialists, and scientists — all working together to make science come alive. We're one big MagnifiScience family.
